Giving Grief a Voice
Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak
Whispers the o'erfraught heart and bids it break.

This website is a resource for people coping with life’s losses and its many layers: including losses by death, serious illness diagnosis, divorce and relationship loss, job loss, or any of life’s transitions, which by their very nature imply an ending and, although hard to see at certain points in time, a beginning, as well. The intention with the programs described on these pages is to offer a variety of “doorways” or methods into adapting to change and creating an integrated life….a life with meaning, a sense of well-being, peace and joy. You may be wondering why working with a counselor or participating in any of the groups described would be helpful in this regard. The answer is simple. Life, and especially life-after-loss, doesn’t come with a roadmap, and the territory many face at this point in time can be unfamiliar, bewildering, overwhelming and lonely. This is true for everyone – across the lifespan. I invite you to spend some time on this site, read through the articles and other materials, consider your unique experience and take advantage of what you can as you set your intention to heal and become proactive in effectively navigating your life's transitions.
And consider the importance of the therapeutic relationship in this decision. It is my goal, as an integrated therapist, to meet you where you are, to collaborate together as you evolve toward your highest potential and lead a life that brings you joy, peace and meaning. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches and techniques, we will identify behavior patterns or negative perceptions that no longer serve you well and may be interfering with your experience of a fulfilling, meaningful, even blissful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or, just as importantly, you're ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me today to get started.
